HOW TO USE THE SADP TOOL BASIC USER GUIDE: The guide covers how to download, install, and use SADP to find your IP cameras on the network.  SADP Tool is only needed if you are manually installing IP cameras - NVRs with POE ports will automatically find and install the cameras without additional programming. On the Armix website, click resources After clicking resources, go to the Download section and click on SADP Tool under either the NVR or DVR section to start downloading it. You should see a prompt asking you to save the file.  By default the software will be saved to your downloads folder. Once the file has been downloaded, go to the download folder (or to where you saved the file if different) and double click it.  You will be prompted to allow the software to install.   Follow the prompts to complete installing the software.  When complete you should now have an icon on your desktop for “SADP”.  Double click this to begin. The software will open and scan your network for recognized DVRs, NVRs, and IP cameras.  Once the list is populated you have access to make several changes. Select a device by clicking the white checkbox to the left of the device’s name.  This will enable you to modifiy the network information of that device on the right panel. In this example I have click the box next to the first device on my SADP’s list.  Now that it has been selected I can modify the fields to match the network information that I would like to use.  When you have finished making the network changes, enter your device’s password into the Admin Password field then click modify. If everything is correct you will see a message pop-up that says “Parameters modification completed” .  If you get an error message it is usually due to the password being incorrect, though sometimes SADP will fail if you are modifying the cameras to a IP range that is different from the computer’s internal range.  If you are sure you have entered the correct password, you can try modifying the computer IP address to be within the range of the IP address you are applying to the camera/NVR/DVR in control panel -> network and sharing center -> change adapter settings. You can also use this tool to change all of the recognized devices IP addresses in numerical order by clicking the check box on the bar above the device list.  It will ask for the starting IP address and have you fill in the gateway, subnet, and ports.  In order for this to work successfully all of the devices need to be using the same password.
